Mixing and Mastering

Mastering

CD to Red Book standard, or audio file any format (wav, aiff, MP3, etc.) Input files may be any format, wav of aiff preferred. For CD, ISRC codes must be included as separate text file, or via email. MAM archival discs can be made upon request. Answer files returned as 128k MP3 pending completion and approval.

Mixing

Sound files can be any format, wav or aiff preferred. Recommend 24 bit, but 16  bit is acceptable. File placement by bar, beat, etc. must accompany the files, along with project tempo information - Cubase or Nuendo projects can be opened directly. There is a small setup charge, based on complexity. Mixes may take several forms: a simple rough mix to a final, professionally realised product. The first answer will always be a rough mix, in order to determine the direction the end product will take. Consultation by voice can be arranged by appointment, and is encouraged in order to facilitate proper results. The cost is in direct relation to the time spent, session-by-session accounting provided at each step, estimates of time spent can be provided at each step in the process as the mix is honed to perfection. Thorough mix notes will result in improved results for the time and money spent.

Sweetening can be done in-house: our extensive sound library can literally transform a piece, taking it to new levels. MIDI files can be rendered with ease, including editing and correcting parts.

Release of completed works, following client approval of the 128k reference MP3’s which are rendered useful only for evaluation, can be via CD, DVD, or file upload via SoundCloud or FTP.
